SONA Experiments
This will allow any PI who has an IRB in psychology to post studies through the Research Paid Participant Repository (RPPR) that participants can then be recruited for. This is a FREE resource for all labs in Psychology
The system will ONLY work if enough people in the department use it! *Anyone who is doing paid studies is encouraged to join and use this resource/if you are running paid studies, please use RPPR.
*As far as participants, we are starting with young adults (18-35). We will work on older adults and other groups once we get the young adult system going.
Here are the steps:
- If you don't already have it, please add the following lines from the screenshot provided to your consent form through a simple addendum with the IRB:
This is a box that participants can check stating they would like followup communications about paid research opportunities at UA that goes at the end of your consent form.
- Once you have this opt-in listed: please email Jake Dahill, the SONA admin, & CC Arne Ekstrom. The admin will check your IRB and add you and any other lab members that you would like to access RPPR.
- One of you should be listed as administrator (either you, or preferably, a lab manager or someone who is helping to coordinate the studies). They will be able to add participants to the pool based on checking the box on the consent form.
- All the others will be added as researchers, meaning they can post studies and recruit participants through RPPR
