Dr. Ashley Jordan receives Innovation in Teaching Award
Dr. Ashley Jordan is the 2026 recipient of the College of Science Innovation in Teaching Award. Each year, the College of Science honors exceptional faculty and advisors who have made significant contributions to advancing the teaching and advising mission of the University of Arizona. The Innovation in Teaching Award recognizes outstanding development and implementation of a belonging-focused intervention, as well as innovations in curriculum.
Ashley C. Jordan
Professor of Practice | Psychology
Ashley C. Jordan, Ph.D., is a Professor of Practice and Director of Career Track Faculty and in the Psychology Department at the University of Arizona.
Her research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, with an emphasis on using pedagogical strategies and educational technologies to boost student engagement, learning, and retention. In addition to her work in higher education, Ashley is passionate about leadership and professional development both in academia and in the "real world."
She is particularly interested in how leaders can create environments where individuals feel connected, empowered, and able to thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her husband and fourteen-year-old twin daughters.
