Graduate Ph.D. Program | Clinical Area
Student Admissions, Outcomes, & Other Data
The clinical area is jointly accredited by the American Psychological Association (Commission on Accreditation) and the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). The information below is designed to inform prospective doctoral (PhD) students' decision-making, but do not tell all there is to know about students in the clinical area, and by some measures, the numbers tell very little. We are no longer required to post the GRE and GPA scores of accepted students, therefore we do not to post them because we do not want to discourage students from applying, regardless of their scores.
The Clinical Area selects applicants based on:
- Fit with Clinical Area faculty member(s) program of research
- Research experiences
- Applicant’s fit with our research-oriented, Clinical Science curriculum
- Statement of Goals including interest in psychology and research
- Letters of recommendation
- Quality of undergraduate training
- GPA scores
