From Ideas to Impact: How Project Managers Turn Vision into Reality

Thursday, November 12th, Noon Arizona time
Via Zoom

Project Management is one of the most versatile and in-demand career paths—but many students don’t realize they’re already building the skills for it.

In this session, Jessica Sueskind shares her career journey from nonprofit leadership and event production into project and operations management, highlighting how skills like communication, organization, and problem-solving translate into real-world impact.

Students will gain a clear understanding of what project managers actually do day-to-day, explore the wide range of career paths within the field (from corporate to nonprofit to creative industries), and learn about educational pathways and certifications that can open doors.

Jessica will also break down common misconceptions about the field, share lessons she’s learned through hands-on experience, and offer practical advice on how internships, externships, and real-world opportunities can set you apart after graduation.

Whether you’re highly organized, people-oriented, or just figuring out your next step, this session will help you see how Project Management could fit into your future.

Must RSVP on Handshake to attend
