Image
Psychology Department
Mindfulness interventions show promise for improving a broad range of stress-related health and disease outcomes. This talk will describe theory and research exploring how mindfulness interventions work, with the thesis that mindfulness interventions train equanimity skills. Equanimity skills help people find peace in the push and pull of stressful experiences, and may be an important transdiagnostic treatment process for supporting stress resilience.

This colloquium will be offered in person (Psychology, room 305).
