Adult Depression Study

Continuing to experience effects of depression? You could participate in a research study from the University of Arizona Psychiatry Department for adults who have depression. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and maintenance of effect of an investigational medication in people with depression.
Procedure:
Part 1:
- You will receive the investigational medication or placebo (contains no active medication) for 6 weeks.
- If you complete Part 1, you will have the option to participate in Part 2.
Part 2:
- You could receive the investigational medication for up to 16 weeks or more.
Participant Eligibility:
To participate in this study, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Age 18-74
- Diagnosed with depression
- Have taken antidepressants in the past that did not work well for you
- Are currently taking an antidepressant medication but still have symptoms of depression
*If you are interested, additional eligibility criteria will be assessed by the study doctor or staff.
Compensation:
Qualified participants may receive study-required medical care & investigational study medications at no cost. The study will pay for other medical care or current medication(s) needed to support your daily health care routine.
