  • Award Amount: $2,000* (please note: this amount may vary slightly from year to year)
  • First-year graduate student in the Psychology Ph.D. program who is in good academic standing
  • Enrolled full-time study during the year the fellowship is awarded
  • Has an outstanding record of academic achievement and demonstrated potential to be a researcher
  • Engaging in neuropsychology research, with a preference for emotion and aging
 
Dr. Elizabeth L. Glisky Endowed Fellowship in Psychology
  • Award Amount: $1,500
  • Full-time graduate students majoring in Psychology who are in good academic standing
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Evidence of Financial need as determined through the University of Arizona Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid

Drs. Jeffrey N. Younggren and Garnett S. Stokes Endowed Fellowship
  • Award Amount: $1,500
  • Be full-time graduate majors in Psychology
  • Be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Provide evidence of financial need as determined through the UA Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid, and provide a short statement (500 words max) of financial need
  • Demonstrate interest and aptitude in forensic psychology (e.g., advanced coursework, research, community service, or forensic services

  • Full-time graduate students majoring in Psychology
  • Evidence of financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA
  • *Preference for students who graduate from a high school in Arizona

J. Elise Hendricks Grief and Emotion Graduate Fellowship
  • Award Amount: $20,000
  • Full-time graduate students in Psychology
  • In good academic standing
  • Pursuing research in the field of grief and emotion
  • *Preference will be given to applicants who have a demonstrated interest in or commitment to advancing participation of underrepresented groups in academia

Lynn Nadel Graduate Scholarship Endowment
  • Award Amount: $1,000
  • First-year graduate student in the Psychology Ph.D. program who is in good academic standing
  • Enrolled full-time study during the year the fellowship is awarded
  • Has an outstanding record of academic achievement and demonstrated potential to be a researcher
  • Pursuing research in the field of cognition and neural systems
  • Plans to complete a graduate minor in the Cognitive Science Graduate Interdisciplinary Program
 
Dr. Patricia E. Penn Graduate Scholarship in Psychology
  • Award Amount: TBD
  • Full-time graduate student in the Psychology Ph.D. program
  • Preference will be given to Ph.D. students (i) who are unable to participate in this opportunity without financial support, and/or (ii) whose research focuses on health psychology, mental health and/or addictions.

  • A current or accepted graduate student in a department in COS
  • Intellectual Merit - demonstrated academic excellence and exceptional potential to advance knowledge in one or more discipline(s)
  • Ability to Broaden Perspectives and Scientific Inquiry - based on the student’s diverse life experiences (e.g., economic, educational, cultural, geographic, and/or familial background).
