UA & Department Key Policies:
- A Key request form must be completed by the person requesting the key(s).
- For the key request to be accepted and approved - the form must be signed by both the person requesting the key(s) and by their sponsor.
- Never loan your key(s) to anyone.
- Never throw your key(s) away.
- Do not prop open any doors after business hours. *A silent alarm will sound and call UAPD.
- If working from afar or on internship - you will not be allowed to take key(s) with you unless you have approval from your sponsor.
- If you lose your key(s) - report it IMMEDIATELY to the Accounting Team.
- Upon leaving the department - all keys must be returned to the Key Desk.

Requesting Psychology Building Access:
- Complete and sign the Psychology’s Building Access Request Form.
*Form must be signed by supervisor. - Bring the completed form and your CatCard to the Accounting Team (room 338).
- OR email the form to psyaccounting@email.arizona.edu, and attach a picture of your CatCard.
- You will then receive an email to set your PIN.
Please note, undergraduate students are not issued keys or given CatCard access to the building without special permission of the Department Head. Undergraduates should always be supervised when in the building after-hours and on weekends.
After-Hours Building Access:
You will need your CatCard to enter the building after hours.
- Place your CatCard near/over the Amer-X Security keypad (black pin pad near entrance)
- Enter your PIN
- The door nearest the keypad should unlock
Other Considerations:
- Do not prop open any doors after business hours. *A silent alarm will sound and call UAPD.
- If you receive a new CatCard - you will need to inform the Accounting Team in Psychology to update the new card number in the system. You will be asked to reset your PIN, and your old CatCard will no longer be valid to enter the building.

Key Request Procedures & Form
- Complete and sign the Psychology’s Key Request Form from the department’s website:
*Form must be signed by sponsor. - Submit the form to the Accounting Team (room 338) and bring your CatCard
- OR email the form to psyaccounting@email.arizona.edu, and attach a picture of your CatCard.
- You will then receive an email to sign another form from the Key Desk and schedule an appointment to pick up your key(s). *You must have your CatCard when picking up your key(s).
- You will have 30 days to schedule the appointment with the Key Desk.

Key Return Procedures
- At the Key Desk building (address below), there will be a secure drop box located at the bottom of the stairs next to the elevator (NOT at the Key Desk itself) for student, faculty and staff to return UA keys. No appointment is needed to return keys.
- You will place your key(s) inside one of the provided envelopes, then write your name and UA email on top of the envelope. Deposit the envelope holding the key(s) through the drop box.
- The Key Desk will send you an email of the key receipt once your key(s) have been confirmed as returned, generally the next business day.
- *If you are unable to drop off your key(s) on or before your last day worked - bring them to the Psychology Accounting Team (room 338).
