The Virtual Grocery Store Study
The Human Spatial Cognition Laboratory is recruiting healthy young adults (18-30 years) and older adults (65-80 years) to study how we learn locations in a naturalistic virtual environment. This study will require two separate visits. Each visit will take approximately 2 hours.
Procedure:
- You will be asked to shop for items in a virtual grocery store while wearing a virtual reality headset.
- Two sessions, 24-48 hours apart. Each session will take approximately 2 hours.
- Monday – Thursday, flexible times.
- Light walking will be required, please dress comfortably.
Participant Eligibility:
To participate in this study, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Between the ages of 18 to 30 OR 65 to 80
- Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision
- Ability to walk comfortably while using VR for extended periods of time
Compensation:
You will be compensated at a rate of $20 per hour. Total experimental time is approximately 4-6 hours for a total of $120 maximum..
