Trish is a Graduate Student pursuing her Ph.D. in the Social Psychology program (minor CNS).  Prior to starting the program at U of A, Trish was an entrepreneur owning and operating two successful businesses in Northeast Florida.  After returning to her home state of N.C., she received her M.S. in Gerontology studying person-centered care methods and intergenerational communication.  Post-graduation, Trish co-created a digital memory platform, utilizing a "virtual mind" for use in reminiscence therapy and person centered care.

Trish is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro where she received her B.A. in Communications and her M.S. in Gerontology.  Recently, she received her M.A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona (May 2021).  Aside from being an entrepreneur, she is a wife and mother to four children, four step-children and is passionate about positive aging and energizing multi-generational relationships.

Trish's research interests involve aging and wisdom, particularly the development of wisdom from post-traumatic growth, characteristics of wisdom over the life course and intergenerational transmission of wisdom.  More specifically, can wise behaviors and intergenerational interactions alleviate ageism and heal intergenerational conflict as well as be a conduit for positive aging and well-being.  Additionally, Trish is interested in examining the generational, cultural and socio-economic differences in wisdom understanding and wise behaviors.
