Psychology's 2023 Outstanding Senior

It is our pleasure to announce that Diana Way has been selected as the Department of Psychology’s Outstanding Senior for this Fall 2023!

Diana is an exceptional student in our Psychological Science program and has maintained an impressive academic record across a diverse array of coursework. She has obtained valuable research experience working in Dr. Heidi Hamann’s Prosocial Research in Oncology (PRO) Lab. Specifically, Diana has been involved in research investigating prospective memory in cancer patients. She has obtained a wealth of research experience including running studies, data collection and analysis, and presenting the findings.

Diana has also obtained impressive teaching experience here at the university as a teaching assistant for Dr. Pimentel’s Bioethics Course. Additionally, she has obtained valuable clinical experience working as a behavioral technician for HOPE Group Clinical here in Tucson.

In the future, Diana plans on pursuing medical school with a focus in psychiatry. She has truly been an outstanding member of our department and our university, and we wish her the best in her future endeavors! *As the awardee from the Psychology Department, Diana has now additionally been nominated for the overall Outstanding Senior in the College of Science - winner to be announced at the awards reception December 7.
