New Faculty Join the Department

The department would like to welcome four new faculty this fall.
- Dr. Cynthia Erickson is a new Lecturer and UA Psychology Alum. She is joining us from Metropolitan State University of Denver where she was also a lecturer. She will be teaching Cognitive Neurosciences courses.
- Dr. Ying-hui Chou is a new Assistant Professor joining us from Duke University. She is a rehabilitation psychologist that studies the neural circuitry of motor and cognitive systems in Parkinson's disease and other brain disorders using MRI. She also studies the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation as treatment for symptoms of Parkinson's disease, depression, and other brain disorders.
- Dr. Alyssa Croft is a new Assistant Professor joining us from the University of British Columbia. Her research focuses on prejudice and stereotypes - aiming to understand how group membership shapes individuals feelings, behaviors and interactions with others. She is also a UA alum, earning her BA in Psychology in 2008.
- Dr. Vicky Lai is a new Assistant Professor joining us from the University of South Carolina where she worked in the Language, Concepts and Brain Laboratory. She will continue her research in language using neuroscience and behavioral methods.
