Patrick's research interests surround how societal and psychological factors impact students' education and success. With their own Hispanic Heritage and experiences, they particularly seek to note how societal stressors affect Latinx students. He has found that math and science benefit from students having representation and identity within the programs - something as small having their name pronounced correctly and used on a regular basis can have profound impacts.

Patrick plans to pursue a PhD in clinical or educational psychology with hopes to one day become a professor to mentor future students, as well as continue clinical research to increase inpatient diversity. We are proud to join in recognizing this outstanding student alongside the College of Science - congratulations, Patrick!
