HealthCare Partnership Receives VIP Seed Fund Award

We're Excited to be VIP!
The University of Arizona HealthCare Partnership (HCP), part of the Psychology Department, in collaboration with Family and Community Medicine in the College of Medicine, was selected to receive a Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Seed Fund Award to launch a VIP team in Fall 2025! The University of Arizona VIP Program is a transformative educational initiative that engages both undergraduate and graduate students in ambitious, long-term, large-scale, and multidisciplinary project teams.
As a member of the VIP community, the HCP VIP team will focus on innovative, community-engaged research and training in health promotion, treatment for commercial tobacco and nicotine dependence, and healthcare quality improvement. The team will serve both English- and Spanish-speaking communities, including those with limited healthcare access, such as Native American populations. The project supports student success by offering inclusive opportunities for growth, empowering students to thrive and make meaningful contributions to the community.
We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting opportunity, where students can push the boundaries of knowledge and gain invaluable hands-on experience!
