For the first time, Research.com has published a list of the top 1,000 female scientists in the world. Rankings are based on a meticulous examination of scientists on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph.

#424 on the list is our own Regents' Professor in the Department of Psychology: Dr. Carol Barnes, who focuses on neuroscience, hippocampal formation, cognition, and electrophysiology. She is also the Evelyn F. McKnight Endowed Chair for Learning and Memory in Aging, Director of the Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute, and Director of the Division of Neural Systems, Memory and Aging at the University of Arizona.

You can read more about Carol Barnes and the other recognized scientists on the Arizona Bioindustry Association website.
