The Cognition, Affect, and Traumatic Stress (CATS) Lab at the University of Arizona is recruiting participants for a neuroimaging study on fear processing in the brain! The PI of this study is Dr. Ashley Huggins in the Department of Psychology.

Procedure:

Participants must be able to complete an MRI scan safely (e.g., no irremovable metal in the body). This research study will take approximately 4 hours of time over a single visit taking place at the UA Biosciences Research Lab Building. During this visit, participants will complete an MRI brain scan, neuropsychological testing, surveys, and provide a saliva sample. Participants may receive $150 (and a picture of their brain) for completing the study. Participant Eligibility:

We are recruiting both older and younger adults. You may be eligible to participate in this study if you are either:

  • A female adult between the ages of 18-30 years old with regular menstrual periods 

OR

  • A female adult at least 60 years of age and post-menopausal 

Compensation:

Participants may receive $150 (and a picture of their brain) for completing the study.

An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.
