Insomnia Treatment Study

Study Description:

Our study aims to investigate how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) improves sleep, cognitive, mental and physical health, and aging in middle-aged adults. CBTi focuses on addressing thoughts and behaviors that maintain and worsen insomnia.

Procedure:

  • 6-12 weekly sessions of CBTi (at NO cost to YOU!)
  • Online questionnaires
  • Virtual clinical interview
  • Cognitive functioning evaluation
  • Closed Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)
  • 24-hour temperature assessment
  • In-home overnight sleep study
  • In-lab blood draw

Participant Eligibility:

To participate in this study, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Adults aged 50-65
  • Experiencing sleep difficulties
  • Must speak and read English

Compensation:

  • 6-12 complimentary Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions
  • Up to $100 if selected to participate
