New Graduate Seminar Offered

The department is pleased to announce a new graduate seminar being offered this fall by Dr. Vicky Lai, who is joining our faculty from the University of South Carolina. Psy 542 Special Topics in Psycholinguistics:  Language and Cognition will be on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:30pm in Psychology 317B for the 2016 Fall Semester. This seminar introduces students to a diverse array of theoretical and empirical issues in language and cognition. Students will learn how electrophysiological and magnetic techniques can be used to address issues related to language, how to find relevant journal publications and critically evaluate the results, and how to develop and design their own experiments.  Technologies discussed with include EEG, ERP, MEG, TMS, and fMRI.
