I currently work for Dr. Rebecca Gomez and Dr. Lynn Nadel in the Child Cognition Lab and Down Syndrome Research Group, respectively. As one of the lab coordinators for the Child Cognition Lab, I primarily work on the memory reconsolidation studies which investigate memory modification and updating. Simultaneously, I help out with our language and cognitive development studies conducted with infants aged 4.5 months to 4.5 years. In the Down Syndrome Lab I work with children both diagnosed and not diagnosed with Down Syndrome also called Trisomy 21. I am learning how to conduct the various cognitive assessments under the direction of Dr. Jamie Edgin, among other things. Addtionally, I am pursuing my Masters in Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Promotion as I wish to work with chronic diseases such as obesity, asthma, diabetes, and others that afflict our society. Ideally, I would like to incorporate mental health and well-being into public health to aid in promoting health and preventing illnesses.
