Study of Brain and Language

The Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Laboratory at UA is currently seeking healthy older participants for a brain and language research study. Participants will be compensated for participation.

What’s Involved

  • One visit, 2 hours in duration, at the University of Arizona

  • You will be wearing a sensor net that records brainwaves (EEG) while completing a reading task on a computer screen

  • You will be asked to fill out questionnaires on your language background/mood and complete 2 short, web-based tasks.


  • Native English speakers between 60-75 years of age

  • Right-handed with (corrected-to) normal vision

  • No history of psychiatric or neurological disorders

  • Not depressive or in any psychotherapy / on medication
