The Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Arizona is jointly accredited by the American Psychological Association (Commission on Accreditation) and the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). The information below is designed to inform prospective doctoral (PhD) students' decision-making, but do not tell all there is to know about students in the Clinical Program, and by some measures, the numbers tell very little. The program is no longer required to post the GRE and GPA scores of accepted students, therefore we do not to post them because we do not want to discourage students from applying, regardless of their scores. 

The Clinical Program selects applicants based on: 

  • Fit with Clinical Program faculty member(s) program of research
  • Research experiences
  • Applicant’s fit with our research-oriented, Clinical Science Program
  • Statement of Goals including interest in psychology and research
  • Letters of recommendation 
  • Quality of undergraduate training
  • GPA scores
