Graduate Student, Social Psychology Faculty Advisor: Alyssa CroftI graduated with a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon graduating, I moved to Washington, DC where I first worked in development and administration in the nonprofit sector. I then joined DC Bilingual Public Charter School as Operations Manager where I oversaw finance, human resources, building operations, and the nutrition program. In 2016, I moved back to North Carolina to attend a graduate program in experimental psychology. My thesis examined thought suppression related to stereotyping. I received my M.A. from Western Carolina University in 2019. I am now a Ph.D. candidate working in the Social Roles and Identity Lab researching how motivation and social identity shape self-perception and interactions across social groups.
