Dr. Linda Hollis Receives Distinguished Mentoring Award from the College of Science

Congratulations to Dr. Linda Hollis - Associate Professor of Practice - who received the 2026 College of Science Distinguished Mentoring Award for her outstanding, extensive, and continuous commitment to student mentoring. Drawing on her own experience as a first-generation college student whose life was transformed by a professor who believed in her, Linda has spent 35 years paying that support forward. Through intentional connection and compassionate guidance, she helps students navigate academic, professional, and personal challenges while encouraging them to recognize their own potential. Her mentorship reflects a simple but powerful belief: students may not remember every lesson, but they will remember how she made them feel.
Congratulations, Dr. Linda Hollis!
