Intersectionality: The Nuances of Diversity

Friday, November 2, 2018 - 15:00 to 17:00

Please join us this Friday, November 2nd, 2018 from 3-5 pm in the Santa Rita room of the Student Union for the Colloquium Diversity sub-committee event in a series focusing on diversity in science. We aim to promote awareness and encourage discussions about the nuances of intersectional identities, embolden individuals who may come from nontraditional backgrounds, and encourage changes in the field that will foster greater inclusivity. We are ecstatic to bring this event to the UA community and hope you will join us. Refreshments will be served.

Speakers include Elizabeth Sandoval (Senior Academic Advisor II), Jessica Andrews-Hanna (Assistant Professor), Catherine Shisslak (Professor), and John Ruiz (Associate Professor).

If you are attending please fill out this doodle poll when possible so that we may set up the correct amount of seating: https://doodle.com/poll/93c5r7hnhwd8fgnp
