Couples & Family Therapy
The BHC offers services for couples and families with master's-level graduate student trainees supervised by Dr. Laura Schnaps. Dr. Schnaps has decades of experience working with couples and families using primarily an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) framework. EFT is a non-pathological, evidence-based approach to couple and family distress that is grounded in attachment theory, humanistic psychology, and the neuroscience of relationships. The EFT model focuses on emotion and emotion regulation as targets in improving relationship interactions.
