Psy 496H Honors Seminar
Rotating topics seminar. Psychology honors students are required to take PSYC 496H twice. A graduate seminar can be substituted for one or both 496H seminars.
Psy 496L Introduction to Neural Data Analysis
This course will cover the basic methods available for the analyses of single unit and multi units spike data. Several measures of neural activity will be discussed, and illustrated on the basis of actual and simulated neural data. Knowledge of Matlab is required, knowledge of basic neurobiology is recommended.
Psy 497C Introduction to Computer Programming for Non-Programmers
This class is designed for students who have no or little experience with computer programming, and is geared toward life science and psychology majors. Students will use the Matlab programming environment and learn to write basic data analyses programs, to set up graphic display of data and analysis results and to manage inputs and outputs to files.
